anyway, I have found wincustomize to have alot of stuff. Sometimes search all types instead of the individual gallery.
Now at 800X480 should be fine on my 7" correct?
Edited: Image removed, bad logo image. Will be back after following tips below. Thank you very very much that was all the info I was looking for. I appreciate the honesty, and will edit that post and remove the image so it doesn't throw the topic further into the downward spiral.
I only posted it in question form anyway, I did not intend for anyone to try and use it, it is far too cluttered for a small screen.
Argh, clearly half the people posting windows "boot screens" don't actually use what they post because they wouldn't work. The format must be 16 color BMP (Including a couple specific palette entries even) 640x480. Without more fiddling, the progress bar even has to remain in the exact same place as the windows progress bar.
The above screen for instance hasn't a chance in hell of making a decent boot screen. It is the wrong size (Reduce the width to 640, uncheck "keep aspect ratio" to get it to look good on a 16:9 screen), it has no progress bar, it has too many colors, etc.
Sorry; I don't mean to flame, but this thread is only about 1/2 useful because of all the stuff people are posting that *cant* be used. Making these screens look good in 12-15 colors is not particularly easy. I would suggest that people spend the time to actually set up an image as their boot screen or BIOS logo prior to posting it here. It would raise the bar on this thread quite a bit and make it way more useful.
