SFiorito and I both get this error message every time our systems boot up with EWF enabled.
I came across this link

It seems as though when EWF is enabled, something goes wrong with this bootstat.dat file mentioned in the link.
Any windows guru's out there? How can this problem be solved, or at least this message suppressed.

Thanks for the help. Did it a couple of days ago. Works like a charm!
Did you delete the bootstat.dat file? That fixes this plus removes an extra write to the disk each boot up.

yeah, this completely removes all writes during boot up. I confirmed this with VMWare and the perfomance monitor counters. It registered absolutely no disk writes after deleting bootstat.dat (and the recovery options don't come up any more).
Thanks for the info SFiorito. Time to delete it on my CF card and see. Only two things remain and my OS setup is golden.
