    Thank you.

As another alternative, which replacement shell should I use?
    Where can I find it?
try freezeshell, it's a command line app. freezeshell with no arguments hide task bar and desktop icons. If you use switch off (freezeshell off) your desktop will be restore. If you need source code you can find in "plastico ht" project on surceforge

Hi! I found your .exe via and It works super fine! Thanks!! My question: May I get the source code of your 2 examples? - I install public computers @ University of Fribourg Switzerland and don't want the studies to interact during installation process. So I looked for a program that hides the task bar during installation process and shows it @ the end. So I found your example. No I'd like to modify the "taskbar on" and "...off" showing delay on the bottom right. @ the same time, I'm interested to learn VB. That's why I ask you for the code...

If possible to get it, thank you very much . If not, what a pity , but I accept.

there is an easier way to do this. simply kill the explorer service on boot. the taskbar will not appear and if u try to access it, it will not launch.
u can also make this a polling service using the system id so if a user or application tries to launch the explorer window, it will kill the process.

i am using my touchscreen systems in a quasi "kiosk" mode. only certain apps run on startup (place ur apps in the all users startup folder), the user id is a fixed autologon admin (hack registry in winlogon). by disabling the explorer service, u minimize OS tampering.

i am still working on refining my code for the polling service (allowing taskmgr to launch for remote access)

Can i spread this hide/unhide taskbar app? I gathered some reg tweaks in one reg file and i would like to add this program in that zip with those reg tweaks for win32 but i must ask you first

p.s. I added in readme.txt that i found program here but is that enough? Would you like to mention your name or...?

I just unticked the box "keep the taskbar on top of ...". Not good enough?

I am sure the shell thing is the way to go, but maybe this is simpler, safer and as good?
