look about 5 post down, there is a thread already on that
The screen I'm talking about is a black screen with grey bars running along the bottom of the screen, kind of like a DOS screen...
It's the same one that shows right before the "Windows XP is loading" screen or whatever that we all learned how to modify in a previous thread..
Thanks for any info![]()

you didnt even read this did you?
if you paid any attention, you'd notice i was the first person to reply in that thread with helpful information on what he was asking.
this is completely different. I'm not talking about the pretty windows xp loading screen, i'm talking about the basic DOS window before that...
Ha, yea I read this, and paid VERY close attention teacher
Maybe you should just look at one of the posts in the thread I was reffering too, I guess I have to point that out to you tooo...HERE
Better yet Ill quote it here too, just incase you miss it from the link i gave you
"On my nlite'd system I don't get any shutdown/hibernate window, it's just a black screen, resuming from hibernate isn't that always the dull white stripes with the "resuming windows" text
Okay i want to do this too And would like some help.
I read your posts Camsgs3 and read the other threads too and wasn't able to come up with clear instructions. Just to clarify i want to change the black and white screen with the progress bars that you get when resuming from hibernation.
Cheers

unless im mistaken, you cant change the resume hibernation (or similar) screen. atleast not without some major heavy duty hex editing and possibly turning your pc into a foobar'd doorstop. now what you guys seem to be reffering to is the actual gui-ish windows loading screen. the one which by default shows the windows logo, says windows xp and has a blue 3-peice loading bar scrolling across.

I also heard that you cant change the "resume hibernation screen". On the link i have below, Maximus says you can turn off the screen all together - it would just display a black screen by using nLite
I rather use it that way, I hate see those resuming from windows ulgy text
Vchat - I beleive in the other post he was talking about the hiberation screen when you shut down windows, not the startup one![]()

So nLite wont hide that.
As for the "Resuming Windows" progressbar, I don't think there's much you can do about it.
/M
yeah ... my question was if you could change it... i still don't know how to turn it off ... and that guy above is just being an *** about the situation. don't know why...
