Safe nLite setting.ini

I actually got a phone through work that has the ability to have a bluetooth attachment so I'm probably going to be incorperating this into another nLite build.

Take a look at the msfn forums, there will be a post there re: .NET applications, I'm not running any .NET in the car so can't comment but I have a full nLited system working and about to go back in the car tomorrow .... just wish it was a bit quicker!

I didn't keep any of the languages, the list is of the stuff that's being deleted.

What are the benefits of minlogon and ewf?

Loosing msinfo and show desktop don't mean a thing to me anymore, I'm going full speed ahead dude! When windows boots the little bar graph on the boot screen makes about half a pass on my carputer, that's with an 800 P3. My xp3200 barton system makes a few passes trying to get the whole load of windows up off the floor. Thanks for sharing your many hours of tweaking.

hey chris, are you looking for the little show desktop icon? send me your email address, i can give you that one. wow half a pass? i have th same sysem p3 800 epia, are you running 256 mb or 512 mb? i wanna buy an extra 512mb plus my current 256mb to speed it up. from what i experience, minlogon gets rid of the windows logon screen, makes a little more faster boot i believe, ewf i have not used but i think its more for loading os to a flash card.

your welcome, something like 80+ hours invested and some weird *** errors along the way.

I'm happy with the outcome though and pleased to share it with everyone. Honestly I wouldn't wish any of the stress and aggrivation I went through to find the right settings on anyone !

Is it just me? The setting.ini file doesn't do anything for me. Tell me what I'm doing wrong here.
1. copy setup file from thread #28.
2. paste onto notepad and save as carPC.ini
3. open nLite 0.99.8 beta5 > import carPC.ini
yet nLite doesn't remove anything from above setting.

Please enlight me.

load up your os in nlite, then compaire the settings ini file with ours. The build number or somethiing like that may need to be changed. Use the settings from our files and use the identifiers like the nlite version, XP build, and nlite setting group titles from your file.

I'm running 256m of memory.

just another thing, the settings file gets rid of a lot of good fonts I believe. I had to import all my fonts from my other pc to make road runner text look ok.

Yea I had to do the same thing.. I think newer versions of nLite fix this.

have anyone else using the setting that turbochris post encounter any problem with playing video? mine carpc seem to freeze after a few second playing a video file, I don't know if it's nlite or some other problem.
