Thread: XP default video card driver pickle

Background:
I have a old Acer TravelMate260 laptop without "internal" lcd screen(busted), using my laptop with a 7" lcd touchscreen in my car.

Pickle:
Hibernation tab does not show when using default video drivers. Found a post here that adresses the hibernation problem.

Installed windows and with the default windows drivers no hibernation tab, installed the video card driver, bingo hibernation tab
Enabling Hibernation TAB

When i install the latest TM260 vga drivers, my screen goes black when windows is starting up. There is no other way but to go into safe mode to actually see my windows desktop after i install the driver.

Question:
In the bios i have enabled both screens, but my vga driver seems to override this during windows startup. Is there a way to have this option activated for my vga driver aswell?
And is it possible to do this from safe mode?
