Reset your BIOS jumper, then reboot, get into BIOS, make sure video is set to CRT+LCD, and your resolution is set to 800x480. I assume you have the latest BIOS that has support for 800x480?

The latest BIOS only has windows suppport for 800x480, not DOS/POST

I've spent weeks 'ing for this problem and only found other asking the same question... No solutions!

Its a Windows problem I'm convinced.

I had a problem with my laptop that's kinda related. The laptop has a 1280x800 widescreen. I just installed Battlefield 2, and wanted the latest ATI drivers. I cleaned out the old drivers, then installed the new ones. After that, windows wouldn't show an option for 1280x800. The max was 1024x768. I was kinda bummed. After searching alot on the 'net, I found you could download Powerstrip and "force" it to 1280x800. after forcing it, and restarting a few times, it worked beautifully. While I was cleaning out my HDD, I removed Powerstrip. When I re-booted, 1280x800 was still available, even though Powerstrip was gone. I think it modified the registry or something, and didn't undo the resolution options when it uninstalled. Maybe you can try the same thing, and windows will "stick" so using the resolution you want after using Powerstrip.
