i did the install then it restarted to go into windows install part 2. then it get Setup starting then Fatal Error.

An error has been encountered that prevents Setup from continuing.

One of the componentsd that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.

    The parameter is incorrect.

Press OK to view the Setup log files.

    [OK]

in error log it shows D:\I386\asms. error message the parameter is incorrect.

One of the componentsd that windows needs to continue setup could not be installed.

    What should i do.

I have a problem with my bluetooth usb dongle. regular plug-n-play doesnt seem to work for me even though the service is turned on. on my regular desktop i just connect the dongle and i get the standard "new device found" window and XP sets it up for me fine and i can see bluetooth devices in my control panel. when i try it on my tinyxp box it doesnt even detect it. i dont see it in my control panel either. any ideas?

where did you get the ISO from? could be a corrupt one, maybe burn another disk, if that dont work then maybe ur ISO is damaged

    Hi Guys,
Just wondering what's the attraction here? You can chop an XP iso image down to 150 meg with Nlite and you know exactly what you've removed in doing so. If you combine Nlite with the guide at this site you can get an xp install down to 300-350 meg or less depending on what functionality you want to keep. Don't mean to start a flame war here. It just seems if you're going to spend as much time as you are on your OS image you may be better off going a different route?

    Cheers,

    momanz

I hear ya, this tinyXP build requires nlite..but the thing is that when people start building there own image using nlite...they might remove something that is required to work with XP, or they dont know what to remove/add

When i first started to mess around with nlite, i built about 8 different ISOs because it was always missing something or something was not workin right and that took alot of dam time...

with this tinyXP version it works rightaway all you doo is enter your LEGAL XP key[change the winn.sif file in the i386 dir] and ur good to go.

Basically this is a time savor and it works great so far
