Look for settings in your GPS software, you may be able to dump the files it creates to a different directory. If all else fails install the whole GPS app on your D drive
For some reason some software when installed, data files are installed into the Local Settings directory under the user profile in Documents And Settings.
I have ewf protecting drive c:, while drive D: is unprotected and any file I copy to it stays there.
This means that anytime something changes, it is lost the next time you boot your computer.
Is there a workaround for this? My problem is my gps software installs the data files in Local Settings/../Garmin and every route or waypoint I put in, is lost.
I think it can be done if Windows can be tricked so that Local Settings folder is in the D: drive instead of the protected C: drive.
Another way is to disable protection on Local Settings folder in C: using ewf, I dont know if it can be disabled on just one folder.
I dont know how to implement either solution, is there another way?

I tried the registry thing, but it doesnt work. It resets to default c: when I reboot. eWFmgr c: is disabled.
I even ran auto-it to set the registry to D: drive right after booting into windows, it changed to D: in the registry, but the data files in D: is still untouched, it still uses the one in Documents And Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data etc
It would be awesome if it worked. Does anybody know why it didnt?
Btw, everytime I load frodoPlayer, application data changes back from d:\masch\documents and settings\masch\local settings\application data to c:\documents and settings\masch\local settings\application data. Does anyone know a reason for this?
