TinyXP installation problem

How can I install TinyXP to 1GB CF card? When I try to start the installation it says 1278mb free space needed.

isntall on a hard disk first then transfer it to the cf after. make sure you use EWF before transferring, so you dont' shorten the life of your cf card.

So it is not nessesary to use XPe? All versions of XP are "allowed"? Should I install all programs that I´m using before transferring XP to CF or is it possible while EWF is activated?

Sorry for these noob questions but I'm rookie when it comes to CF and stuff.
