Nice.
Hello folks
The reason for this post is that I wanted to get rid of the welcome screen and so on but minlogon was giving me problems like no access to my network drives. So I went on Google hunt. First thing I found was a little registry tweak on
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/windowsxp_tips.htm
There is info to how to get rid of part of the logon screen. But this was not enough I was still getting welcome screen so next thing I found was on another forum:Not Displaying Logon, Logoff, Startup and Shutdown Status Messages
Added 3/2/30
To turn these off:
Start Regedit
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
If it is not already there, create a DWORD value named DisableStatusMessages
Give it a value of 1
Download a reg file

When I had used this info I got rid of any welcome screens completely.Getting rid of the Welcome screen

ii) Select "Change the way users log on or off"
iii) Un-tick the "Use the Welcome screen" + apply options. Close the User Accounts window.
iv) Start Menu -> Run and enter control userpasswords2
v) Un-tick the "User must enter a username and password to use this computer"
vi) Enter the password for the person you want to login as.
