Question about getting pc into suspend

    Hi folks,
I'm trying to figure out the way the powersupply/shutdown controller knows to suspend, and not shutdown/hibernate. Is this a setting in windows (xp)?

I honestly did search for this, but i couldn't quite find the answer here...

You also need tp go into the power options in control panel and look for the power button options, change that to suspend. In your bios you should also look for support for the S3 mode in the power settings. If you do both these things, then even if the PSU sends a switch off signal, your PC will suspend. HOWEVER, you must ensure that the PSU retains power even after that or else your PC will just lose power, not good.
