I have had Vista since M$ sent me the Beta's build 3xxx and up. And i have to say it looks nice, and now that it is "released" it works a lot better than the beta's where drivers like nvidia (anything above 6800 wasn't supported) and where there were very few drivers available for printers.
The main advantage I see of Vista with frontends is the way it handles sound output. Instead of your usually wave, line-out, line-in, mic, and everything, it shows the program names themselves. So it would make it very easy to mute Winamp when GPS speaks and adjust the GPS volume to X and music to Y, and radio to Z. Problem now is that RR doe not make use of these Vista features, because obviously Vista is new. I think in the next release or two, there might be an advantage to using Vista. But now, it doesn't matter if you are running 95.

i'm running it on 3 systems: laptop, desktop, and media center. besides some driver issues (not MSFT's fault) it works great. and developing for it is great too...
