WIFI Repeater Auto connect to stongest AP

I just setup a WIFI system in my dads RV because the rvparks WIFI router was always causuing problems.

I used a Buffalo WHR-HP-54G and installed DD-WRT V24 beta then used this instructions:
    http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php...eless_Repeater

And then setup Auto AP as it will automaticly connect to the stongest AP and it rescans every 60 seconds, but you can set this to any value.
    http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Autoap

This will make a repeater for laptops and you can use a cat5 and that will also work.

I'm going to get another WHR-HP-54G and try it in the car with a 5-10 second rescan.

So far its working great in the RV as we are able to keep our connection unlike before setting this up.

How stable has the v24 beta been for you? Currently using v23 SP2 on my two routers here at home and like some of the new features in v24 but wasn't sure of how stable the release is yet.

well we moved the RV down to my cusins house for the weekend and there is only one open AP and it will always stay connected and when it looses ping to google.com it will reconect untill it can reconnect again! and its working great we have even lost power a few times since (blowing circuts) and it always reconects after start-up.

So i have to say it is a sucsess. but i am going to be ordering a 14DB antenna so we can get more AP's.

But all in all its a great setup.

But i still cant wait to get home to my 6mb dsl next week.
