500mW tx/rx....how did they do thatThey want you to think that both transmitting power and receiver sesitivity is "boosted" compared to a normal Wifi card. There is of course nothing called 500mW RX power.
You are always limited by the weakest unit in the communication link so you won't get more range if the other end lacks the power to get a signal to YOU.
A good antenna is the way to go. It gives you signal gain on both RX and TX.
i wonder if they're trying to talk about the sensitivity of the antenna or gain in the reciever in a way that people who succumb to marketing tactics could relate to.

Well, I bought one of these and a 7dbi magnetic base antenna. I'll post in the next couple of days after testing in the car....
It is impressive here on the desk. I am picking up more WAPs than ever.

Try not to nuke your eyes.
Failure is not an option....
It's installed by default on every version of Windows.
Holy cow!
I am picking up TONs of wireless networks!
I would have to say this combination is quite strong!

I have one of those also. This unit is much bigger physically. It also has two usb connectors (one for extra power I guess). I'll try to get some side by side pictures......
I drove by the old folks home and a couple of guys hit the ground. It may not be safe for pacemakers?![]()
