I see quite a few people are well aware of the #777 trick with sprint phones. I am an (unhappy) sprint customer who has been with them for the better part of 2 years, but it is time for a change. Metro is pretty available in my area and now does free wireless web, but I was wondering if the same hack works for them? I know they are both using the CDMA network, but can you use #777 for them as well?
Anyone have any experience with them? How is their coverage? Their phones? Are they putting the tracking software in the phones now, the way sprint is? Unlimited everything would seem pretty nice, and unlimited wireless web in the car would be just kickass.
metro is crap. i have it its cheap but you get what you pay for, basically i cam make and receive calls most of the time, outside of that, forget it, even calling customer service is a nightmare quite often the computer system will tell you there are no reps available and to call back later. later in this case usually means next week. web speeds are a crawl at best.
dont know about the crap part. I have no problems at all. Yes, metropcs only works in their coverage area. for me, im in that area 99% of the time and it works.

Customer service and support is CRAP yeah for making and reciving calls it works, get a problem, try to change or add features, you are real lucky if you get hold of a person , even going into a metro pcs store they have a hard time getting hold of their own support people.dont know about the crap part. it depends where you live. I used to be from the bay area, and it was a really hit or miss. I didn't personally have it, but most of my friends were happy with their bills so they didnt really mind the service. Even though you're not tied down to service, you're tied down to the phone, and that right there could be be equivalent to a contract fee. Good luck.
For over a week I argued, begged and pleaded at every level, 6 store reps, 6 online reps. In my opinion all of them incompetent and many rude. Autopay account deleted and recreate at least 4 times. Everyone keeps saying the same thing just go in and update to account info. The account was even verified by a Corporate Center supervisor. Phone service has been shut off twice. Even after the store manager at the corporate Center assured me that it ad been restored.*
