so how does it work with kismet?
Hi folks. Few weeks ago spoted usb wifi adapter named alfa. Output power is 500mW. Most powerful PCMCIA wifi adaptors i came accross was 300mW. So i have bought it and it performs flawlessly. This adapter thou requires two usb ports to feed it (500mW).
Here is the link for the product:

This performed better than my Senao NET EL 2511CD+. Some where i read that this usb adapter is compatible with packet injection in wifi wep cracking. Sweet
so how does it work with kismet?
It should work.
Failure is not an option....
It's installed by default on every version of Windows.
What does this product do?

Uhh, it's a usb wifi adapter.

I didn't know why the 500mW was significant. Why can't "regular" adaptors be modified to get 500mW?
Jae
It's the radio power. If you overdrive a "normal" radio, you'll either induce a crapload of noise or cook the radio. Most likely both.

so when i pumped up the output of my hyperwrt linksys firmware, it's like turning the 300 to 500?
Jae
ummm
why does the only driver file name have the word Vista in it?
does this only run on Vista and no XP?
that's gay.
