    GPS and EUB-362 WIFI Interfering?

Hey guys. I have both my usb GPS and wifi going into the same unpowered USB hub. Sometimes when the computer starts up, the gps won't work, or the WIFI won't work. It's either one or the other. I'm guessing it's a problem with voltage requirement?

I'm definately going to be using my spare M2-ATX in the near future as an auxilary power supply for my DVD drive, 2 usb hubs, (maybe) an external hard drive? Hopefully that will solve the situation. Any insight into this?

Also, i can't seem to find the name of the usb cables that connect directly to the motherboard jumper pins. There are 2 unused ports on my motherboard that i would like to use. What is this cable called?
    Thanks in advance!

Get a powered USB hub and power it form the 5v on your PSU.

you might also look at disabling power management for the Wifi device as well as the Prolific device in the windoze Device Manager.

Google for USB HEADERS for the USB ports you need. There are some here: http://store.pchcables.com/usbhewipiso.html (Cheapest ones at the top of Google's results)
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Awesome, Thank you so much. Both my usb hubs have a DC barrel jack on them, so hopefully that solves the problem. I have a spare M2-ATX that i need to build a small enclosure for and wire it to turn on with the computer.

I love my CarPC. Its coming together so well. The odd minor glitch will show up here or there. It isn't 100% reliable to shut down worry free all the time (Thank goodness for the 2hr hard shut-off), it gets stuck with a 'video resources error'. Other than that though, its the best thing that ever happened to my car. Recently i went on a road trip from Kenora, ON to Vancouver and back. I love gps. Period. Even small things like...looking up hotel numbers through IG and calling to ask around for prices. What an amazing time we live in these days.

Sorry for rambling. Just thought I'd share my thoughts with you all.
