    How about the Wiki?

Would you not look for a wireless N adaptor ? They should have better range overall ?

802.11n is not an accepted standard and is not widespread.
It certainly has the potential to offer better range, but only to a 802.11n network. Good luck finding one "out in the wild".

    up to one mile range.
Two issues with that unit, though:

1 - $160 for WiFi is pretty steep.
2 - Out of stock for at least two weeks.
