Feeding a Wired Router from a Hotspot?

I have 3 computers in my van. I want to install a high-gain 802 antenna, but since I have 3 computers, I do not want to have to install 3 antennas. I would actually like to have all of the computers wired to a router, if only I could feed that router internet access from a Wi-Fi spot.

Is something like that even possible? Can I somehow use 1 nice antenna on the van to feed 3 computers somehow?

Any advice on how to do this would be appriciated.

well, you could do it with dd-wrt firmware. get linksys wrt54g, flash it with the dd-wrt (linux kernel) and you will have a myriad of options possibilities. As long as the hotspot is not using any protection you can connect to them with ease. Also this firmware has some options for increasing the gain on the antennas...
    Good luck

this is very doable and as stated above is easiest with DDWRT, you could also do it with Tomatoe if you do not have a router that can handle DDWRT such as the newer model Linksys with less memory...

You want a wireless bridge. You plug your 3 computers into the bridge, then use the WiFi in the bridge to connect to a WiFi network. All computers have access to the net over the bridge.

If you will use an external antenna, make sure you get a bridge with the ability to connect an external cable to it.

As stated, DDWRT will do this but you can also purchase this type of solution. Google "Wifi bridge" to find options.
