Thread: Sony Edge Card ATT Wireless (Sucks)

I have a Nokia 8390 with AT&T Mmode, and the speeds seem slow even on the phone. I plan on connecting it via IR my carpc when I get it setup. I plan on using just using AIM, and google occasionally. I have the 1MB Mmode account for $8/month. How fast do you think I will use this up? Thanks (sorry to hijack your thread, just a quick question).

I'm coming to you'll live and in living color wirelessly from my Nokia 3650 with TMobile and a Bluetooth (wireless) connection to my laptop.

WAP is free with TMobile so I get only limited Internet access (just port 80), but it's good with 56k speed with unlimited usage. I use it all the time when traveling. I'm going on my second week away from home traveling around (Phoenix, Baltimore, Miami) it's been great.

Maybe when I get a home and on computer with a better monitor I'll create a wireless forum so we have a place to discuss fun wireless things.

Oh and as far as usage, I just checked the meter on my phone looks like I've used about 26 megs this month.

That's cool. What do you mean it's free? Isn't it a extra charge on your plan?

Sorry it's not free. I pay for 39.99 for voice minutes. It's an unadvertised feature and some on the Internet forums think that it will dry up soon. Normally it's 19.95 for unlimited Internet access.

BTW, now I get 132kbps !

The AT&T Edge network is the coolest thing since sliced cheese! Fast, great handoff..
I am still working on getting my comp online via a USB data cable through my Nokia 6200 (Edge). Can't wait till it works right!

Edge is exponentially better than GPRS..
