    WiFi antennas

I'm thinking of getting this one. http://www.radiolabs.com/products/an....4-mobile7.php
seems like a good db to $$ ratio. there's one's for 16 bucks out there but they are 5.5, and it might be worth it for the extra coulpe of db, if you got a little more to spend. which external antennas are we using?

i'm using my own directional antenna i made. i'd like to get one like that for my wardriving. I actually see a pretty good gain. If you are a serious wardriver get that to look for signals then also get a switch where you can switch to a more powerful directional one.

I'd spend the money and get the stronger one

I just bought one of these here
it's 7db for $23. with shipping I haven't tried it yet...but someone else on here is using one and said it was great!, I have to figure out how to connect it yet, considering that it's connector is bigger that the connection point...but there must be an adapter for it...

You bought the wrong one homefry. That antenna is already wired to that connector for the wrt54g. You probably needed one that was wired to a reverse SMA if you have a pci card. you might want to get a hold of them and tell them what kind of wifi card you have, and see if they'll just switch it. otherwise you'll probably have to make your own connector.

towards the bottom of this page http://www.radiolabs.com/products/cables/cable.php you'll find what connectors go to which products.

I'd buy that one. Plus you can buy lip mounts for that kind.

I have a 18 inch antenna but its for my uhf/vhf radio not wifi. My uhf/vhf antenna looks the same as that 18 inch antenna. The one on ebay looks cheap and plastic like kinda like a saturn Theirs no way in hell that ebay antenna is 7db no way maybe 3db max.
