great website for wifi antennas

just thought i would let you guys know, here is a great website for 802.11 antennas: www.hyperlinktech.com

one of these is going into my trunk once i get an LCD and get it intsalled. 14.4dBi will get you some very nice wireless range.

i also have one of these and theyre great, i was able to extend my wireless range by over 200%

Aren't these both directional antennas? How do you keep them pointed at each other, when using in a car?

If it has an antenna that can be unscrewed, you just take it off and srew one of these on in it's place.

I am in the early planning stages of my carputer, and plan on using a trashed(shattered screen) Toshiba Tecra 9000 as the brain. It has built in WiFi. Does anyone know of a way to attach a higher gain antenna to this type of setup?

If not, is there a pcmcia wireless card that anyone would recommend that has an external antenna connection?
