About the only help I can provide is this link to help you determine what connector that is. Also you may be able to check out that site for replacement antennas, signal boosters etc. One thing though I think they may have a $100 minimum order! But you may find what your looking for then search ebay & the like. Also check out this site .

Thanks for the links, I have looked at a lot of connectors online. There are a few that look like they might work, but I was thinking someone here might know the correct one.

I'm not completely sure, but the brass connector looks like an MMCX connector. Take a look at my web site uner WUSB-11 Hacks . I tried to remove the existing antenna and add an external antenna that has an MMCX connector. I messed up the connector/solder joint/RF output. Now I have a dead WUSB-11.

However, you MAY be able to add an external antenna merely by plugging into the existing MMCX connector on your board. I bought a cheap external antenna from Pacific Wireless . It's a cheapie ($15.00) so it probably won't work all that well. I never got to that point. Give it a try. For $15.00, it's probably worth the lessons learned!

Were did you go wrong?

I have seen that connector online. Also several others that look almost exactly the same. It's hard to tell how big they are.
Looks like it could be MC, MCX, MMCX, Reverse MMCX, Alprox, U.FL (found here http://www.jefatech.com/category/cable_assemblies.ufl/).

So Many to choose from, I don't know were to start.

I think we should compile a database of the antenna connectors for all of the various WiFi cards that are used, that way we can narrow down converters and antennas more easily, just a thought

Yep, I am wishing we already had one............

I sent an email to jefatech.com with a link to this thread. I asked if it was U.FL and they say that's what it is.
