Um...yeah. So have you actuallly tried tmobile to go? Based on your posts I am led to believe that you did not as you were able to "add" the 4.99 feature. You can't do that with TM2G as far as I know. There are posts on this thread that suggest that you can get this to work with TM2G.

Ah, I see. That's was TM2G meant. That's bad news then - I was hoping to go the to go route at some point with a dedicated phone in the car

Well,

Not much new to report. I am able to connect and can access the web content that they allow in the tzones menu. However, outside of that. Nanda.

Calling support, they claim to not support random we access for t-mobile to go accounts. Dang.

has anyone else tried this chime in to verfiy it works? im about to bite, but waiting for a concrete solution.

This seems to be the current situation:

tmobile to go (prepaid) - can't access much of anything (just what is in tzones)

tmobile contract with 5 dollar internet option - can access more of tzones, can access stuff by going through the proxy. You can also work this further by creating a tunnel through such a connection...

tmobile contract with 20 dollar inetnet option - this is a striaght up way to get internet access.

I have full access with a 2.99 Tzones package. Using the proxy and the Opera Browser, I can get almost anywhere. The issue usually occurs because the opera browser is not supported, but otherwise, I surf away when I want/need to.

P.S. Just used it this morning on the way to work, cause I was late because of the "horrible

Is 2.99 the current price? Not being a tmobile contract customer I don't think that I can find the current price. I think I remember reading that 3 dollars was the grandfathered user price and that new was 5 bucks.

Also, with the proxy all you can do is http (unless you tunnel of course) right?
(no https, ssh, etc, etc)
