    What's the point - it's not like you are going to use the Internet while you're driving down the highway at 115 kph :|

    Actually even though you have to be stopped those Sat. services really aren't that bad. We have DirecWay that we use for our boat when we dock. Other than the horrible latency and upload speeds it's really not that bad.

    I was thinking that you could do like the mobile DirectTV dishes do, but I forgot you have to allign a transmitter and receiver instead of just the latter.

    We should just build a giant WiFi network across the US, just use every car as a router.

    Would be an interesting project to put some motors on the dish and hook its control up to the pc and run a program to point it based off of a GPS

    There are already ham radio solutions to mobile internet... None that dont require a ham license though.

    I haven't found a pressing need yet though, when I get home it picks up wifi, when at starbucks it picks up theirs, etc. I hardly go anywhere where there isnt wifi that it can find.

    I have a wing on mine but it came stock and is way low profile....not a K-mart shopping cart style
