another poor man's attempt is an old direct TV dish- just swap out the LMB with a home made 2.4ghz one.

Great idea, I have an old dish laying around. Although might be an over kill for what I want to. Extend the range of my wireless network to my drive way.

I'm a bit confused here...are we trying to extend the range of our wifi network or perhaps others so we can connect to it. Lost...can someone please help the newbie

Yeh, extending the range.

Someone else on the boards posted this same link recently.... hmmm. I think he got a range of 3 KM. Except a tree was in his way hehe.

& improve reception, not to mention getting away without using LMR type antenna cable...
