they are bound to that contract with you - they will grandfather that plan in for you -- so you still pay the 19.99 even though they have changed it for everyone else. pretty sure about that - that's how it works with all the minute plans - they keep changing them and i had my plan and price not change even though the plan actually didn't exist any more.

    hope it helps

damn , i was looking into the $20 media thing and planning on getting it...boo urns.

    edit:

so the difference between the Media unlimited and the Data unlimted (besides about 45 dollars) is that data has SMS and some other stuff?

I sell cell phones, not cingular (Sprint and Verizon) but I know a Cingular guy (I'm looking to switch to Cingular) and this is how I understand it...

The Data Connect plan gives you EDGE and data compression, boosting your speeds over standard GPRS. (GPRS is 2G, EDGE is 2.5G, UMTS is 3G).

edit: OH, and as I understand it the entire network has at least GPRS, but most of the network has EDGE overlay, at least in my area anyway. UMTS is available in a few major metro areas (the best thing AT&T ever did, prior to the merger).

edit2: OH, and the 19.99 MEdia Works plan is gone now. Thanks, cingular!

Hmm, I see you've photoshopped out all the desktop links to Bangbus and MiflHunter.com
