    Telematics?

I searched and wasn't able to find anything on the subject but I have a Prestige APS996A that has the capability for a Telematics upgrade. Now the big question is, is there anyway to interface it with the PC. I mean we have GPS, wireless internet and everything, why can't we have some kind of telematic system that allows us to track the car?

In this context, telematics is some sort of lightly buttered biscuit?

Telematics is a system that allows your car to be tracked via GPS with your cellphone. The current services are around $50 a year IIRC.

umm, Telematics is an industry centered around vehicle connectivity services. GPS tracking is only one service - it is a subset of "Telematics".
