I've got problems with my wardriving setup too. I have NetStumbler, with a Netgear WG311 v2 PCI card. NetStumbler works, but it won't detect the signal strength, and sometimes it detects access points for a few minutes after they should have disappeared!

Has anyone got NetStumbler working with a PCI card?

Netgear MA401 works with windows 2000 but not windows 9x Im guessing it works with XP too since 2000 and XP use the same drivers. It does do the SNR in netstumbler which I couldn't get some other netgear cards to do tho.
It uses the prizm chipset, so you can get it working under linux fairly easily.
As for WG311 v2 PCI I believe this may be the same card as mine... is yours the G version? Mine does the same thing in lagging when an AP is found, but it also happened with my other USB card, so it might just be netstumbler will have to test a different brand of wireless cards to make sure.

Yes my WG311 v2 is the 802.11b & g version, but it's so annoying when I can't see the signal strength! Because I'm using Win XP on a PC (not a laptop), I need a PCI card that works. Unless there are any alternatives to NetStumbler for Win XP?
