CSR Bluetooth Adapter needs repluging after start

Hi All,

I am really ****d at this, and I dont know what else to change, maybe some of the wise minds here can give me a solution!

Whenever I reboot my carpc (or boot it up when I go into the car), my BT is not recognized... the BTTray icon is Blue and Red instead of Blue and White, and if I click on it it says no bluetooth dongle is found... If I unplug the dongle and replug it in the same usb port and all, it recognizes and starts working fine....

I dont wanna have to do this everythime tho.... any hints?

(This is one of those no-name dongles that look like a usb thumbdrive with a small antenna that swivels up and down, Class 1 300ft, works pretty far with the dongle in the trunk of my closed car and a phone about 100ft away through some walls in the garage... but this non-recognition is driving me berzerk)

I had the same issue and I fixed it by plugging my BT dongle to another USB port. That took care of it... but I REALLY think I just got lucky.

I think you got lucky....

Tried numerous ports, even plugging it in a hub, and a friend of mine has the same issue with the same dongle, on multiple computers....

If it will help, I might still have the package for the dongle I bought... I can give you the brand name... From the sounds of it, since your buddy has the same problem with the same type of dongle across a range of computers, it would appear the dongle is the issue.

Yeah, it seems to be really the issue...

I havent gone deep into finding a solution, but since we are in Brazil, there arent that many options... overall the adapter is pretty good in terms of range and connection... just suck that it doesnt survive a boot!

Oh well, i'll look into it later...
