What's the ideal web browser over gprs?

I find it annoying to go to internet explorer's advance settings and specify not to download images or other multimedia downloads that makes the pages take longer to load and increase the gprs bills. I have the idea of using another web browser just when I really need internet from the car.

Any suggestion of a very light internet browser that doesn't download uneeded data. Perhaps a browser that has 2 modes, full download / minimum download? (a cool feature! Detects if your are on a hotspot/cable plugged or on gprs and do the proper settings!!! too good to be true)

If not im just gonna use opera or something similar that i'll make the proper settings manually and choose which browser I want to use.

You can try Mozilla Firefox. Really good browser.

I recently switched to Firefox because my IE got hijacked I managed to clean most of the stuff up, but I'm using firefox now to be safe, and because its faster and better (tabbed browsing).

I like Opera a whole lot better than firefox. Especially the newest version of Opera (7.6 which is still in beta).
