You guys all know about free internet waps right?

You can get free internet on most cell phones by changing the settings of the ip address and port that your phone uses to get online.

here , click on your manufacturer and then look around for something like wap settings. It doesnt cost data minutes, just acts like your making a phone call, but you get free internet.

if all else fails just around for "free wap settings <your phone model>"

Does CSD just uses my minutes?
So if I'm online after 7:00 it's essentially free?

    Thats right!

Just do it for a couple minutes the first time you change your ip...
then check it on your bill to make sure it's working like its supposed to be (free)

I have a Sony Ericsoon T226 with AT&T. Is AT&T officially Cingular enough for me to use the Cingular settings?

I tried this a while back with next to no success. But I decided to give it another go since I now have the EasyGPRS software that was regularly recommended.

This time I had a bit better success. The software claimed to have set up a connection and if I tried to ping things, DNS lookup appeared to be working. However, everything I tried either timed out or gave me 'destination net unreachable'.

What am I missing? I don't have any paid T-zones access - just whatever is free. Do I need the $5 thing to make it work? Do I need special wap settings?

Thanks for any help. I'm googally impaired and so far that google link above hasn't shown me anything useful...!
