Holy crap! that's funny....a co-worker of mine just got that. It's really cool but only shows parts of SoCal. For instance, you can't see most of the 118.

Anyhow, its really cool. It uses some sort of wireless technology and is constantly updated (no on-off button).

It would be really cool if there was some way to integrate it into a carpc and have the map displayed on your LCD screen. It could become another integral part of Media Car or Frodo Player. Also, if you could somehow write software for a GPS Navigation application that determines whether or not an alternate route would be a quicker option based on the traffic data it receives. Then, if it is quicker, have it automatically create a new route for you.

You can either purchase a 2005 Acura RL with XM Navtraffic or wait for the upcoming Pioneer AVIC-N2 (?) which will be the first consumer product with built-in support for XM Navtraffic.

Or, you can wait another 3 years or so for the PocketPC/Computer GPS Software manufacturers to catch up... As an alternative, you could always use sigalert.com (if you have an internet connection).

    Cheers!
