With 802.11 stuff, you want the feedline from the device to the antenna to be as short as possible, otherwise you get lots of loss. Personally, I think your best bet would be a USB device placed very close to the antenna, at least for best performance.Originally Posted by aBs0lut30
If you're talking about such a riser for the VIA Mini-ITX boards, it's because they don't support a 3-slot riser. The few 3-slot risers I've seen in low-profile rackmount boxes have the riser inserted into a PCI slot, and then a little daughterboard connected via ribbon cable plugged into a second PCI slot.Originally Posted by aBs0lut30
