Sorry to steer off-topic a bit, but for those of you from Canada, does anyone know if Bell Mobility has a similar feature with their network? I know they have wireless data plans available, but they're ridiculous expensive.
Don't buy a V710, stick with cingular if you want a cool phone with bluetooth. I'm a major hater of the V710 on HOFO, and I really really tried to contribute to making it better. It's just not a phone that will make a hard core computer user happy.
Everything VZW CS says is a lie. If you have a camera phone, you are already signed up for NAMOU, national access minutes only useage. I think they changed the name recently, but its the same. Your phone will connect when your computer makes the call to #777 and it will be a relatively high speed connection. The reason you can't DIAL #777 is because that's a data link, it just opens the phone up to the 1x network, not really dialing a number, just logs in.
IF YOU EVER DOUBT SOMETHING THAT CS SAYS, CALL BACK. Cant say that enough. If you get someone on a bad day, they will make your life hell. If you get someone who just got to work, and isn't all stressed out by teaching people how to text message and explaining that when you drop your phone in a toilet it won't work anymore, they will usually give you the good answers. If something isn't quite right, call back.

I forgot what cable I'm using, but I ordered it off of eBay. The V710 hasn't had much problems for me, in fact, I love it, except for the fact the camera sucks, and bluetooth is crippled. But I can't wait till I get my cable back so I can try this out.. Hmmmm.
i just ordered a USB data cable off of ebay..... the auction had a link to futuredial so I assume this cable will work.
8 bucks shipped! I was goin to ge tthis anyways to get some mp3s on my fone, but now I just learned this...... thanks!!!!!

i have a non-camera phone Vx4400. It shows 1x on my phone. Will this still work for me?
That is awesome, I had no idea....but now I am gonna be a web surfing/while driving maniac.
So I finally got my cord back, and the Futredial drivers didn't work, so installed Mobile Phone Tools, and it automaticaly set me to connect to the internet. Although, I did change my username and password to what you guys said, but it still connected the same. It says I am getting 115.9 kbps, but I don't think I am. can anyone confirm what happens? When I get it connected, it displays how fast it connects and I can load up the internet, and itll go, but pretty slow.
Hi all,
Just wanted to make something perfectly clear. National Access (Express Network) only comes included if you have an America's Choice plan, North America's Choice Plan, or a Single Rate Plan. It might work with the Local Choice plans, but it is defenitely not included with it.
Just thought I would clear that up for everyone.
Peace,
Rafster

I use my cell connection all the time. It's not that slow at all. Remember, if you are used to a 3mb cable connection you aren't going to think that a 115 connect is fast. But it is a lot faster than a dialup at 56K, I've done side by sides on that.
