All of their current phones work with the service. ALl you would need to get would be a USB data cable for your phone, or a bluetooth adapter if you get the Motorola V710. Good luck!

Woohoo! I just got this working with my LG VX3200 at 115kb/s with this cable.
Setting up the connection was a bit tricky, I had to configure it as a generic 56000bps modem, but it works at 115kb/s.
It's awesome to know that I'll be able to use this when I finish my car pc.
The transflash card is not intended for repeated removal and insertion. That's why bluetooth being disabled is an issue. The TF card is a fragile tiny little chip and the mechanism in the phone will break repeatedly. I went through a number of v710s before giving up on it.Originally Posted by integsrtite

Ok guys, I need a hand.
I bought a data cable for the LG7000 (pretty sure it's a FutureDial cable) bought it [http://store.yahoo.com/cellphoneshop/usbdacaforlg6.html/]here[/url]. Then I downloaded the futuredial drivers. My computer will not recognize the phone when I connect it to the computer. I tired using verizon dialer, and it says it can't find a phone, and tells me maybe I should install drivers.
Am I missing something here?
I've been looking into switching from Sprint to Verizon to take advantage of EVDO and Bluetooth with the E815 phone coming out. I've come across some pretty bad news.
1) The NA-MOU plans are no longer offered. In other words, if you don't already have a Minutes of Use plan, you're SOL and you will be charged for data usage or need to pay for the $49/mo plan. It appears the new America's Choice plans are NOT Minutes of Use plans. If you have an old NA-MOU plan, it looks like you're ok for now.
2) If you upgrade your phone to one using EVDO, your Minutes of Use plan goes away (for data usage) and you're automatically charged by data usage which, with EVDO speeds, could rack up bills fast.
I think the days of pay-by-the-minute internet at Verizon are coming to an end. This is very unfortunate. Anyway, here's a couple of links to check out what I came across.

Bottom line, if you're planning on upgrading your phone, service or switching to Verizon, know the facts BEFORE you do it. All in all, I may just stay with Sprint now, even though they have crappy Bluetooth offerings.
i believe that it is possible to get free internet on nextels...there on nextel forum but the thing is some forum ask for money for the priveledge infoOriginally Posted by coachreed
