no actually this software is not free. you are supposed to buy it in verizons mobile office kit. there is actually a legal way to do this, through hyperterminal and you just need the right commands to initialize.

I set up teh program and it keeps giving me a wrong username and pass error. I have nationwide and had access to the 115k but now it is not working. Called Verizon today and they told me that you have to pay for everything except qnc 14.4k. Anybody having a problem connecting to anything other than QNC?

-EDIT - just starting sifting through Howard Forums and Verizon has started cracking down on ppl using the 1xRTT without buying a data plan. The QNC is still free (and slow) though.

Lots. According to the Verizon page, $80/month for the "Unlimited National Access and Broadband Access".

Wierd. I just used mine last night with now problems connecting to the 1xRTT network. I was connected for almost 2 hours downloading some MP3's to convert into ringtones for my phone. Slow night bartending at my grandparent's bar.

Ok guys, I need a hand.

I bought a data cable for the LG7000 (pretty sure it's a FutureDial cable) bought it [http://store.yahoo.com/cellphoneshop/usbdacaforlg6.html/]here[/url]. Then I downloaded the futuredial drivers. My computer will not recognize the phone when I connect it to the computer. I tired using verizon dialer, and it says it can't find a phone, and tells me maybe I should install drivers.

    Am I missing something here?

I have an LG6100 with that cable and driver, and it's working OK. Did you set your phone's data connection to usb?
