wireless connectivity on PocketPC 2003?

Ok - so even on the last PDA that I had that had PPC 2003 on it I had a hell of a time trying to get it to connect to my home wireless network. I'm also having trouble connecting to the network where my classes are this semester.

I have a Dell Axim x30.

And no, neither network is encrypted. School is open, and at home I have disabled it will I can figure out how to get this damn PDA connected...lol

So the network shows up in the connections window. I tap and hold and select connect but all it does is sit there and just say "connecting" but never actually conects. Wireless is turned on (as is indicated by the slowly blinking green light that's right beside the constantly on blue light for blue tooth, and by the wireless icon at the top of the screen that shows that it's active. But I can't seem to get a connection. My laptop connects without a problem at both places.....sitting at home right now typing on my laptop and have posted from the class wsing this laptop as well without a problem.

I have tried removing that connection and letting it find it again then trying to connect to it once again, but nothing.....

Any ideas?

well, on site survey when I get below 45% signal it just wont connect. Try going to Edit porfiles and Wireless networks option on Add new settings, try adding the ssid manually and the wep key and shared mode (if in use), once you enable it on your house! and see what happens, works for me on my x3i.

The funny thing is that if it cant connect to the network that is available, it displays a connected to the network it last accessed!

BTW do you sync your PDA with your carputer? I heard that with bt on the carputer as well it could be used as a remote!

I used my other pDA as a remote before this one and this install....just remoted in and could controll it without a problem....no bluetooth required...did it via the wireless.....=]
