Tru the glass antennas suck. Just get a mag mount or trunk lip mount. What city are you from?
I'm sure it may have been covered b4 but where does one get a through the glass wireless antenna. Like the cell phone ones on so many back windshields.

Grand Forks, nd.
I'm trying for the stealth aproach in antenna install. My car is 2 tons of thick steel I want to get it outside but not too noticeable...
You can't do the one without the other. If you want performance, you have to go fully external with sticking out "metal sticks".
I have a window mount CB one (i can't stand the regular bulky trucker ones) and it works good but has a range of like 5 miles... at most. That's peanuts compared to the 15 most people who mount the big ones get.

Wow.. how things have changed in 4 years. Gone are the days of mcgyver and datalux
cool im from fargo! check ebay search for wifi antenna. Or better yet search this forum Wireless Communications. I would go with a magmount. If your worried about someone stealing it.
I got a small mag mount which im trying to hide on car now I think it'll work in the wiper tray..... Fargo.. Small world....
IM also from fargo. What model antenna do you have? Why do you want to hide it. Having a internal antenna is not going to do you any good. Are you afraid someone will steal it? I have over dozen antennas on my car. I dont care. Mag mounts and trunk lips can all be taken down in sec's.Originally Posted by LOstBoy

How about that?
I could be wrong, it happens often, but I think he is asking about how to install the antennas which pass through a hole in the glass in the rear windsheild. The cord is usually concealed in the headliner somehow and peeks out at the top of the rear windshield where it attaches to the antenna - going "through the glass".Originally Posted by LOstBoy

I think I know what you mean, but I do not know how to install them, maybe someone else does.

Through glass antennas do not actually go through a hole in the glass. And that antenna you posted is for a cell phone ergo it will not work for wifi.Originally Posted by walky_talky20
