Thread: Is this wireless Ebay item good?

That antenna is directional, so it probably won't be the best option for a car application where the APs will be moving around with respect to the car. I'd only consider it if I only intended on sitting in one place and aiming it around until I found a usable signal.

read the other post and narrowed it don to those 2. the polpe really like those. which one do you guys recommend?

im leaning toward the second one cuz i can put my own antenna and change it later if i dont like it. so what antenna;s do u recommend?

but the first one has it all in one and its gonna end up costing much less.

If you plan on connecting to AP's. Your best bet is togo with external antenna. So my vote goes for the second link.

The original thing posted is useless in a car... The others concequently weren't much better either. You may get away with it if you put them behind a glass but then your tint if you have it will likely kill the reception.

Get a real pole type 12" (or less) and enjoy.

Just remember that USB is very limiting when it comes to networking and nothing can replace the good old CAT5 cable. I am curious what you are using if you have only usb... that doesn't sound right unless it is a table PC or something like that.
