    No, you can bend it. Its just stiff. But between an amplifier and an antenna that are both permanently mounted somewhere, go as big as you can afford. Again, the bigger you go, the less flexible, but also less loss.

    by reverse are you sure its not reverse polarity sma?......make sure you have your polaritys right or the antenna wont do you any good

    Ok. From the datasheet, the antenna output is reverse polarity SMA. Just make sure that if you are going to make your own cables you get the right ends. You can get any cable, just make sure you get RP-SMA plugs.

    Update: I returned SR-238 connector to RS and ordered proper N-type from eBay. When both Hawking's amp and connector are here I'll get some good cable and solder that "spider omni"

    Now two questions: how do I test this antenna's gain? And is there some place to buy a small plastic dome that is transparent to 2.4GHz? Something that will look cool alongside that Rayming MR-350 GPS unit
