The only reason I asked is because I just read something on hackaday.com about someone out in Cali making something that used cell towers to bounce signals for WIFI or something....got amazing reception with very little droppoff, thought this might be an easy way to get a small portion of the performance.
I would not do it.
Wifi=2.400ghz
Cell=800mhz,900mhz,1.800ghz,1.900ghz
You need a sierra card. Those have the option to plug in an external antenna. Check with your provider if they will work (a bunch of different models so make sure to get specifics, like 500+ etc).
No reason why they shouldn't but still, make sure.
