Hmm...I think the fastest data rate you can get through Verizon is 144kbit/sec, which works out to 18kbyte/sec. I wonder if others are reporting their speeds in kilobytes or kilobits?
Based on the intrustructions provided by a post on this board I hooked my LG VX3200 up to my computer. I was ****ed though cause the vx6000 data cable from rat shack wouldent fit my phone and thats what everyone else used. Anyway I ended up having to pay for the data kit from verizon and used their software. Although it was like 15$ more it was very easy to set up. The problem is that I cant seem to get any better than 15Kb/sec when downloading anything. Most people were reporting 40-60kb/sec on average with bursts as high as 130kb/sec. Is it because I am using their software that I am not able to connect faster? I did have full signal streangth when I was testing this out btw.
