    access point??


    i ve already got a usb wifi thingy (as u may know from my other post) but i wana upgrade already to something with an external arial that i can stick outside the car..
    i have no room ro put in a pci card

    can i use an powered access point pluged into my onboard network card??

    I dont believe you can use a ap as a client, but I may be wrong.

    you can set two Access points up and have 1 as a normal ap & the other as a bridge, the connection on the briged ap os just as if it was coming out of a switch.

    buy an old orinoco usb client off of ebay. They use a regular orinoco gold inside. You can just pop off the top and access the antenna connector.
