is this possible: wireless PCI card antenna extender?

assuming i can get this to fit (of course i will need to make some modifications) into a morex 3677 case w/ an epia m10000 MB, since my system is under my seat is there a way to extend the antenna to a more reception freindly location? do they make antenna extension for these types of cards? is there even any way to remove the existing antenna to do an extension?
    thanx
    ps: its L4.8 x H2 x W0.06 inches.

I had my wireless card in my comp and it was under my seat and i got great reception. It was a great little card. I actually left it in my glovebox in the sun, when the carpc was down and the antenna melted into a curved chape, but it wtill works. I don't know if you need to extend it...

I also dremmeled the card down to fit in my case, I kinda made it low profile by cutting the extra steel off of it. I just made sure to take it slowly i didn't want it to get too hot when cutting, and burn up components

Yes, they do make antenna extensions, check out the three at the bottom of the page from DLink. You just screw the wire into the back of your adapter in place of the existing antenna.

They also have just the cables. Might make sure you get the right connector though.

at the risk of being a nit-picky little *****, is there some option less noticable? i have a sirius radio shark fin antenna already. i was hoping to get something to keep inside tha car that got better reception than being under the seat.

I think thats about as good as it gets for now, the antenna is not large at all.. trust me when bought mines online i was hesistant, but when it arrived it looked small and sleek.

You can always mount the antenna on ur rear deck and still get good coverage. Way better than the stock stubby antenna u have now.

Just so u know, I have small four door car... My XM antenna is located on my rear deck, my gps antenna is in front of the rear view mirror (right above), and wifi antenna on my trunk. The wifi antenna was located on my rear deck and worked great, but since im greedy and want the best signals I move the antenna to the trunk.
