Actually, the article said it's in St. Petersburg, which is on the West Coast of Florida. I've never been over to that area except to Tampa Bay. Regarding South Florida, everytime I've been through Ft. Lauderdale and Miami there are many more Hispanics than White people... like you said, you could have three different Hispanic families from three different countries in your same cul de sac, jejeje.

That is gay, as far as i see it that guy didn't cause any harm what-so-ever to that man so it's not going to be able to go through court. In the US harm needs to be commited to the third-party in order to be processed through the court system, in this case i can't see any harm done since the guy with the Wi-Fi probably has broadband that is unlimited connection for a monthly price. I wouldn't be suprised to see this guy going to jail or "compensating" the guy with the stupid *** laws that we have in the USA.

I hope this turns into a major lawsuit that changes laws, but it's just hop :-/

And about the whole getting caught thing, if your able to conceal your computer like in-dash then you should have no problem with gay people like Richard Dinon that narced on this poor guy.

The best part about the story is the guy whose network was accessed KNOWS about security. He just didn't bother to set it up. I believe he said something like. "Nobody around here knows how to access it, so I didn't bother."

Can we say asking for trouble?

People are paranoid of eachother, white peeple of everyone, hispanics of eachother (what does it feel like to have Nicaraguans, Columbians and Puerto Ricans all in the same cul-de-sac...ask me) No one in south florida is safe, its why they all live in tract housing with guard gates that make delivering pizza an hour affair.

Definitely not an expert. Probably too stupid to feel any dumber.

If he were an expert..he would've had the access point locked down if he didn't want someone else on it. I mean, really. How hard is it to turn off the SSID? Use WEP? WPA? Heck..MAC filtering?

If I find someone on my network, i'm gonna at least try to mess with them as much as possible before I boot 'em. And calling the cops is just messed up..
