    Bluetooth connection issues

The software that came with my dongle connects to my phone (v600) fine. I cant get mRouter or PhoCo to connect to it though. Is this possobly an issue with the hardware or am I missing something.

I can have DUN setup and can connect with it, but I dont know what the point of that is. I have installed the latest widcomm drivers but that software and PhoCo still wont recognize my phone.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the widcomm software/drivers a couple times everytime it says that it doesnt detect any bluetooth devices and to attach them. I assume, by that it means that it is not recognizing the dongle. Can anyone recommend a BT dongle thats compliant with widcomm et PhonCo

They are all compliant it seems. Could your not be compliant with widomm and/or PhoCo? Sure, but it is doubtfull.

NOW, SINCE YOU HAVE NOT POSTED IN THE NEWBIE FORUM, I MUST TELL YOU TO and . This is a topic that has been covered. I know, you don't want to read the widcomm thread cause it's long. But, you can search threads on this boards, no tjust FOR THREADS.

But, I am feelin benevolent today, so here it goes. Please, don;t tell people I am being nice, it will ruin my somewhat bad rep

It is common that even though the widcomm drivers are installed, Windows installs it's own driver instead.

The first thing I would do would be to uninstall anything on your computer that has to do with BT from the "settings-->control panel-->system--> device manager"

Then, reinstall the widcomm drivers just as the instructions on the widcomm thread tell you to. It is pretty easy, just click ont he exe.

Then, insert the BT dongle into the USB port.

Then go back to the device manager, click on the BT device listed there, and check the driver to see if it loaded the Widcomm or the Windows driver. If it loaded the Windows driver, you will need to update the driver. DO not let it search for the driver, instead choose the driver from a list. The list should have a choice that will load the widcomm driver for the device. You may need to try a couple of the listed devices if there is more then one, till you get the Widcomm driver to load.

    Good luck.

It is possible that the dongle is not compliant with the widcomm drivers.

On the original Widcomm 4 (not the 4.1.blah blah blah) thread there is a new method to try.

    Check it out.

Once i uninstall the microsift drivers the comp immediately starts to install them again. This makes it impossible to do some of the things suggested in other posts. I tried to do what was suggested in the post you linked me to, but I just couldnt get it to work. If its not my computer and another dongle will definetly work, Ill just do that because this is just too aggrevating.
