I'm planning of setting up my car pc with a 54g wifi pcmcia card and a link to my mobile phone. My phone is a Nokia 6310i and I have a CARK 91 car kit. I'm hoping to cable the car kit to the pc and keep an always on gprs connection through the phone. I found the thread on CARK 91 and think there may be a glimmer of hope.
The idea being that whenever there is a wifi connection it takes priority but if internet is needed elsewhere then I can fall back on the gprs.
Has anyone got any thoughts or experience in doing this. The reason I'm asking now is that i don't want to start buying kit unecessarily.
I could go for a gprs card and a wifi dongle/bridge type device.
