Wifi Card Won't Connect to Wireless Networks!?

I have a Dlink USB Wifi adapter that I've been using in my carputer for a long time now. For a couple months I unplugged it because I needed to use it for my HTPC. It worked fine on both my carputer originally then my htpc..

I have since hardwired my HTPC so I then took the Dlink wifi adapter and put it back in my truck. What's whack is that it can find wireless networks but it will not connect to them!

I've restarted multiple times, disabled / re-enabled, etc but it WILL NOT CONNECT!! It will not get an IP address.

I've tried on my network and also on a couple of open wap's.

Anyone have any clue what could be wrong?

    Thanks!

had the same problem with a 3Com PCMCI card, my solution was to completely remove the drives and reinstall them, now it works perfecly no mather how many and for how long I remove the card.
